Definition of Preservatives

Preservatives refers to natural or synthetic chemical composition, used in food, medicine, pigment to join, biological specimens, to delay microbial growth or chemical change of corruption. Nitrite and sulfur dioxide is one of the common preservative. The basic name preservative has antiseptic sodium benzoate, potassium sorbet, acetic acid sodium dehydrogenation, calcium propionate, acetic acid, food additives, lactic acid sodium double sodium, 4-hydroxy-benzoic acid third ester, nisin, hydrogen peroxide, such as is used to keep food preservatives original quality and nutritional value for the purpose of food with agent, it can inhibit the growth of microorganism breeding, avoid food decaying and extend the shelf life.
Our country preservatives used a strict rules should be consistent with the following standard preservative:
1. The reasonable using is harmless;
2. Do not affect the digestive tract flora;

4. Don’t affect drug use of antibiotics;
5. Heat treatment of food when do not produce harmful components.
